The Black Alliance for Educational Options ("BAEO") and the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program ("GOAL") have entered into an agreement for the operation of the BAEO-GOAL Fund to assist low-income minority families to secure greater opportunities for access to learning. Contributions to the BAEO-GOAL Fund are used to provide GOAL scholarships to minority students who desire to attend any of the private schools participating in the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program.
BAEO's mission is to increase access to high-quality educational options for Black children by actively supporting parental choice policies and programs that empower low-income and working class Black families.
Since GOAL's inception in 2008, approximately 4,500 K-12 scholarships – 36% of all GOAL scholarships awarded, to date – have been awarded to minority students in Georgia. GOAL is proud to partner with BAEO to bring about greater educational opportunities for Georgia students.
