National "Common Core" Could Impact Private Schools

During this past session of the Georgia General Assembly, a few legislators suggested that private schools participating in the Georgia Education Expense tax credit program should be required to administer state-mandated tests to all of their students. Although this suggestion never became law, it is likely that those who support national k-12 standards, curricula, and assessments will continue in their attempt to subject private schools to the same Common Core Curriculum being implemented in Georgia's public schools.
