Andrew Coulsen, Director of the Cato Institute’s Center for Educational Freedom, has a new report that shows trends in per-pupil spending and student achievement for the nation as a whole and in each of the fifty states. He finds that inflation-adjusted spending has increased significantly since 1970, while student achievement has been virtually unchanged.
